oseph Brooks died from wounds on 11th March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Rifle Brigade battalion was part of 25 Brigade, 8th Division, that had arrived in France In November, 1914 and had been holding the line around Laventie during the opening months of 1915. |
